My Long Kept Secret

Let me share a secret today

I am not the person you think you know

I don’t come from the world you see

I don’t feed on the things you grow.

I have travelled across galaxies

And time lapses through black holes

I have followed the trails of comets

And dined with a tribe of souls

I have gossiped with Jupiter

Asked him about his many moons

And I have gone far enough for the sunshine to reach me

It’s a place where nothing blooms

But when I open my eyes

I see a poster that shows the tulip season

Its my reminder of life on Earth

Which says you are here for a reason
